Save money on your energy bills by choosing energy-efficient products
Large government VEU rebates of up-to $6000 for decommissioning natural gas appliances
About the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program
In 2018, the Victorian Government introduced the Victorian Energy Upgrades program which incentivised Victorians to upgrade their homes with energy-efficient products in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (meeting the state’s 2030 emission reduction targets) and energy use while lowering energy bills for households and businesses.

Through this program, substantial rebates and discounts are available to eligible homes and businesses who upgrade to energy-efficient products.
More information on the program can be found on here.
Who is eligible?
All Victorian households and businesses are eligible to apply for heating and cooling discounts through the VEU program. To find further information on the eligibility requirements you can visit Energy Victoria website here.
You can only install a:
- VEU approved product with a minimum 5-year warranty
- range of ducted and non-ducted reverse cycle air conditioners (RCACs)
- high-efficiency RCACs capable of both heating and cooling.
If you are replacing an existing heating or cooling system, the property must be more than two years old.
